SOCIAL & COMMUNITY MANAGER
ROLE SUMMARY
As Social & Community Manager at Secret Mode, you will play a vital role in building and engaging with our existing and developing communities of players, using your skills and expertise to foster positive and safe spaces them to interact, learn and communicate. You will be responsible for executing the global social and community strategy for your assigned projects, working alongside the wider marketing and communications teams to deliver outstanding campaigns across diverse range of titles.
Across social and community responsibilities, you will find innovative and engaging ways to deliver activities that inspire audiences, playing a pivotal role in reinforcing key marketing focuses outlined by the wider publishing team. Additionally, you will be responsible for monitoring and reporting the success of relevant activity across your projects offering insights, actions and recommendations to improve output.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with senior team member on the creation of unique social media and community strategies for your assigned projects including channel usage, tone of voice, activity cadence, and asset strategy
- Be the driving force behind all social and community activity on your projects, taking ownership and responsibility for driving ideas forward
- Own all relationships related to your projects across Secret Mode and external developers, be the social and community point of contact for your projects
- Identify and leverage new opportunities and platforms to grow your project’s audiences
- Track growth and engagement metrics across channels, own the responsibility for the success of these on your projects
- Work with Product Marketing, development teams, external partners (including 1st parties, agencies, and tech partners), and the wider Publishing team to coordinate and communicate plans effectively
- Own the content creation process across social and community channels, where needed briefing the creative team and working with developers to delivery effective and impactful content
- Build and maintain a calendar of social media output via creating and scheduling posts, alongside monitoring spaces for content to interact with
- Involvement in live media content, such as livestreams and short-form videos – hosting and presenting content in-person, alongside producing content
- Establish robust community spaces on relevant platforms to engage with the project’s audience, via rewarding activities and events
- Optimise community sentiment via expert moderation and management of community spaces and social channels, championing top members, and creating a safe and honest environment for players
- Oversee the community feedback loop, gathering feedback from players, presenting this to internal stakeholders, supporting on an action plan to address key points, and feeding plans back to the community
- Where relevant, represent Secret Mode in a positive and engaging way with attendance at industry events, engaging with players in-person
- Activate, track, and optimise paid social boosting for your projects, using audience segmentation and tagging to ensure effective, targeted campaigns
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 2-3 years experience in roles covering both social media and community management
- Ideally you will have experience working alongside external partners e.g. agencies, IP holders, first party
- Strong ability to work autonomously and lead on the creation of ideas and content independently
- Strong understanding of video game marketing, community management, and development pipelines
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
- A strategic thinker with the ability to action changes via data and trends, and to effectively restrategise when required
- A proactive self-starting attitude, able to identify tasks and opportunities for growth and success
- Comfortable with involvement in live media productions, be it on camera or behind the scenes

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
This role requires you to be in our Leamington Spa studio for two days a week and may involve occasional travel to events.
